The food company Bridor has recently opted for logistics automation provided by ULMA Handling Systems

Bridor, a French company dedicated to bakery, pastry and cake products has chosen ULMA to develop a fully automated logistics system at its facilities. The motive behind this new automation project was to improve productivity, increase efficiency and gain greater control of the material by managing its traceability.

The project to be developed by ULMA will focus on a central automatic storage system for Bridor’s order preparation or picking.

Bridor's facilities will consist of an automatic warehouse at a temperature of -20ºC equipped with 8 stacker cranes (unit load) with a capacity for more than 19,000 pallets. In addition, the production area and automatic warehouse will be linked via STVs or Sorting Transfer Vehicles (intelligent transport system), which operate at a controlled temperature between 3 and 5°C. The project will also have 6 output stations for dispatch, which will also be at a temperature of -20°C.

ULMA Handling Systems has extensive experience in developing logistics solutions for frozen and controlled temperature facilities, such as the solutions developed for companies like, StefOblanca, Frigoríficos Delfín, Okin (Artadi), Bonduelle, etc.
