The engineering firm ULMA Handling Systems closed 2017 with a portfolio worth €230 million for the next two years. The figure represents an increase of 167% on the amount achieved in 2016 and an upturn of 352% when compared with 2015. From the amount of €230 million, orders from international markets account for 62% of the total, while the remaining 38% comes from domestic companies.

In particular, the agreement reached with Intermarché has come about through an intralogistics automation project for the company LUG, belonging to the supermarket group. On the other hand, the Argentinean paper company Samseng, producer of the well-known "Elegante" brand, has chosen ULMA Handling Systems to automate its intralogistics service, a project that will allow the company to maximise its productivity and flexibility ratios. In addition to all these contracts, it has signed another with the Toledo-based food company Cárnicas Tello, consisting of the construction of a second automatic warehouse.

“In all these projects, our position is to be the leading technological partner in intralogistics engineering for our customers, with whom we reach partnerships focusing on implementing unique solutions to boost their productivity and efficiency“, said Juan Jesús Alberdi, Manager of ULMA Handling Systems.
