Laboratorios Cinfa once again places its trust in the experience of ULMA Handling Systems to undertake its new logistics automation project
CINFA has once again placed its trust in ULMA for the complete development of the logistics automation process.
“From the start of the project, the collaboration between CINFA and ULMA has been fundamental in order to define a versatile solution with capacity for growth” stated Javier Aranguren Goñi, Head of Order Picking, Logistics and Distribution at CINFA.
The project includes the expansion of the existing warehouse, with the incorporation of four aisles with additional stacker cranes and a new automated warehouse for transferred product. In turn, the two warehouses will be connected to a high-speed automatic transport system via STVs. CINFA will also update the ULMA monitoring and supervisory system currently in place, and will extend it to the new systems and operations.
ULMA's supervisory system, called U·MIND Sentinel, is a leap into Industry 4.0 of the future. Thanks to this cloud-based system, real-time monitoring and interaction of the logistics facility is possible. ULMA Handling Systems' U·Mind Sentinel infrastructure is supported by mass data processing, cloud computing and the latest digital features.
“The increased storage capacity combined with the flexible solution of the STVs provides significant advantages over traditional solutions. This solution allows us to adapt the integration of the two silos with the future order picking installation”, highlighted Javier Aranguren.
